Q: Dave- King of Prussia Hi Judd- In week #1 I really like Nevada+14, Boise State (ml), Jax Jags +6.5, SF 49'ers +6.5 Do you concur? Thanks!
R: judd Hello everyone...its' great to be here with you.

I'm big on playing Nevada against the Fighting Irish. 14 is just too big a number for Notre Dame. I know they have the talent, but the Wolf Pack is a quality squad.I don't think they'll win the game outright, but should definitely cover the line.

I'm not sure about the Boise State money line play though. You're getting the Broncos as five-point favorites at home, which is a fair line. And you have to lay almost 200 units down on BSU for the outright win. I would much rather wager for a cover at a lesser price.

Jacksonville has been a pain in the neck for the Colts over the years. Definitely worth a look since they're 4-1 ATS in Indy.

Q: Jason (Little Rock) Judd, great to have you back for the start of football--what a GREAT TIME!! I'm looking at South Carolina UNDER 6.5 wins, Mich St. OVER 7.5 wins, and PITT OVER 7 wins. Any thoughts or other suggestions? Thanks again!
R: judd Hey there, Jason!

I'm definitely with you on the Michigan State win total. Same on the Gamecocks, who I'm looking to fade in the first three games of the year. Yeah, I know that the FAU Owls are Game 3.

I'm not sold on Pittsburgh. I think they're going to fail on a big level because of the lack of quality at the QB position.

Q: Bob (Arizona) Hi Judd, I am going to the preseason game tonight. I know it's a preseason game but on a friday night, I think Arizona is going to want to win big. I like Arizona -3 in this spot. It is hard not to luck Arizona’s QB rotation with Kurt Warner, Matt Leinart, and Brian St Pierre and if they can keep it close early, expect them to easily cover this number. Thoughts please.
R: judd Keeping it close early is very important for the Cards tonight. They were down 14-3 after the first half last week. And Green Bay has looked good throwing the ball with Aaron Rodgers. If they keep it close, they could cover on a late touchdown. I just don't think they'll get that chance at all.

Q: Eric Chiu CAn Sabathia win his 16th win against White Sox 2nite?
R: judd I will say that C.C. has looked damn good over his last five starts. And he has a 15-4 record against the Pale Hose. Yet I like the White Sox tonight for the great value. My biggest thing is that they are 8-6 in road games at night against southpaws.

Worth the risk if you ask me.

Q: John (Atlanta) Yo Judd, thanks for being here today. I have a lean on NE-Washington Under tonight. Any idea if it will stay under the total? What's your best side play for the day, please?
R: judd I'm also looking at the 'under' for tonight's Pats-Skins game. Belichick has watched that go 4-3 in his last seven dress rehearsal games. Plus, you're looking at 60% chance of rain at FedEx Field. I'd be surprised if they could get more than 30 points combined tonight, let alone 37.

Q: Bob Hanson's first career start against the Phillies. Hanson has won four straight starts, including a 4-3 victory over Florida his last time out. Can he get it done?
R: judd This is one of the few games I like tonight in baseball. All of what you said about Hanson is spot on. What sells me on Atlanta is Pedro Martinez. He may have won both of his decisions (ND in second start), but he's got an ERA of 5.14. He's only winning because of the defense and offense behind him. The Braves have been playing Philly tough this year and won 2 of 3 in Citizens Bank Park.

Q: Teddyman1972@yahoo.com Hello! If Brady is playing for the first and second quarters, then you have to like their chances of covering a FG even on the road, right? Any opinions on these games would be much appreciated.
R: judd Hi Teddy,

I actually wrote about this game tonight. Belichick is 5-1-1 ATS in dress rehearsal games. And there is nothing to suggest that Washington is going to improve on how they played in its last two games.

Q: Luis I like the favorites tonight in NFL. Feel like they will continue to cover the spread. What are your recommendations? Take care.
R: judd Hey Luis,

I'm definitely with you on the Pats for tonight, but have no want in the Cards.

I just see the Packers having their way against Arizona's defense tonight.

Q: Jeff Rays and the Carlos Pena has been on fire recently. Can they continue with another W tonight?
R: judd I think the Rays could do win again tonight...provided that the umpires don't squeeze the strike zone like they did for J.P. Howell.

I think it isn't so much that I like Tampa Bay tonight is that I don't care for Porcello at home. I know he's won two of his last three starts in Comerica, but rookie pitchers hit the wall. And I believe we're getting precariously close to that with him.

Q: Big $$ - NY Judd..Can you give me some guaranteed winners for today? I am trying to win a 8 team parlay and some big money!
R: judd In baseball, I mentioned that I like the Braves. I'm big on the Nationals tonight as 'dogs to Smoltz and the Cards. Play of the Pack and the Pats. Also, add the 'under' in with the Pats-Skins.

Hope that gives you a nice start.

Thanks for the questions everyone. Good luck tonight and see you soon.
