Q: Tedddyman1972@yahoo.com Yo CD. Think the Bucs are going to put up some points on the Giants. and their defense which has been embarrassed so far this year will step up and keep this close. IF the Giants win, it will be by a FG. there is no reason that the line dropped from 7 to 6.5 with 75% of people on the Giants. Your take? R: chrisd Hello Folks Glad to be here again, let's keep the questions rolling and kick out some winners for the weekend! Hi Teddy I really don't think Tampa Bay is as bad as its 0-2 record, just too many big plays given up by the defense. Good call with the trends, as the sharps have pounded the Bucs, moving the line down a 1/2 point. A bit of a letdown game for NY, after the big win at Dallas. This will be the first of two road contests for the Giants, KC next week and I don't see them COVERING both. If I had too, I'd take the 6.5 in T-Bay and hope the Giants play shorthanded on defense and just barely get the W. Q: Jeff (Vegas) Lot of folks are on Wolf Pack tonight catching a TD. How do you see this game please? I sorta like QB Blaine in this spot. Later Chris. R: chrisd Can Nevada play any worse? That's what I keep asking myself and I would say NO, but you can't handicap turnovers and that's all Nevada has been doing. Last week, 5 turnovers against CSU, who isn't that bad but not that great either. They lost the turnover battle (3-0) to Notre Dame as well. So eight giveaways, no takeaways. Missouri is decent but I don't think its better than Nebraska or Kansas in the Big 12 North. The win over Illinois was surprising but are the Illini that good? This is a big revenge game for Nevada and it means a lot for the WAC. Last year Mizzou ripped 'em up 69-17. Q: Jake (Costa Mesa) Hi Chris, I'm all over Missouri, buying 1/2 point to get at -7. Can Nevada score a few TD's or is Missouri going to put up 7 or 8? the over is tough at 61 1/2. your thoughts on the total. thanks R: chrisd I'll pass on the side, but wouldn't be surprised the home 'dog came in again, just like last night. The total has been jumping all around, 60 to 63, now hovering around 62. You need nine TDs, which is possible with capable QBs but the turnovers for Nevada scares me. If the Wolfpack play mistake-free football, they can put up 30 easily. Missouri has playmakers too, and they're balanced. An 'over' is very possible. I don't think you'll see a WAC shootout like last Friday but this one could be close. Each team should get five scores, just a matter of catching TDs instead of FGs here. Q: Jason (Little Rock) Hey Chris, Thanks for being here today. Without going into detail, I'm considering Tennessee, Chicago, and Miami Sunday. Thoughts? R: chrisd Hi Jason I don't like the Titans-Jets game that much. I just think Tennessee is better than its 0-2 record and vice versa with New York. I don't think the Bears are as good as people believe, plus a trip to Seattle is tougher than you think... Miami is 7-1 SU and ATS in its last eight versus San Diego. Possible cover and win here but I'd side with the 'under', since it's gone 8-0 in the last eight. Q: Bob Jets to win by 2 TDs on sunday. Thoughts please? I have Jets as my biggest play on Sunday. Thanks R: chrisd Hi Bob I like backing favorites that play defense and New York does, no touchdowns in first two games. I'd ride under because the Titans can't afford to put Kerry Collins in unmakeable 3rd downs. Sanchez has been given a vanilla playbook ala Flacco last year. Keep riding the 'under' train for the Jets. Q: John (Atlanta) I like this parlay: Atlanta+Jacs+Buffalo REAL high on Buffalo in this spot. Thoughts? R: chrisd Hi John That is a nice 'dog parlay! You might want to do a teaser with that too. The pros that I talked to in Las Vegas told me to keep fading the Patriots, the defense is not that good, and Ryan should have his way on Sunday. The books are hoping Buffalo wins outright or covers because NOLA is getting serious action right now. The Jacksonville line stinks...and that's why I like it! Q: Randall; Mississippi Hey chris, I walk out the door an smell another blow out coming from misouri against nevada. BLOW OUT FRIDAY. What you think? R: chrisd Hi Randall Your door is a lot more optimistic than my door sir. If it was that easy, we'd be on the beach together sipping back cocktails. Could it happen? Sure, but I'd side with the 'over' rather than the 'chalk' in this spot. Q: Anthony (NY) Is there any reason NOT to take Bengals and Falcons in a BIG teaser for this week? I think both teams could win outright. Thoughts? R: chrisd I don't like the Bengals so much, even though they could be 2-0. The defense has impressed me. I think the Falcons can score but the latest weather reports expect a lot of rain in the Northeast on Sunday. You might want to start looking at some low-scoring affairs...this game fits, plus the Jets-Titans, Saints-Bills, Ravens-Browns, Chiefs-Eagles....stay abreast with the latest info on those five. Q: joe redland ,ca I believe there is an angle on tonights Missou/nevada game. Nevada vant loose Missou can sounds simple. Short week and far travel for Missou and an important game the following week. Nevada improved last week against a tought Colorado st team. Look for a straight out win by the Wolfpack R: chrisd Hi Joe I wouldn't be surprised at all with a win here at home for Nevada, since it is its home opener and actually the first true road game for Mizzou, the Illinois game was in St. Louis. I'd take 7.5 and relax rather than a ML play but if you like the 'dog, then you must believe they can win here. Q: Wild Bill (the OC) Do you like my Round Robin? LSU -12, Georgia -12, Ohio St -14 R: chrisd Wild Bill Little Chalky for me Bill. I think Arizona State has a chance to beat Georgia in this spot. Q: Steven Hi Chris, I am not sold on Missouri after losing all that great players to NFL. QB making first trip on road, I gotta take the home 'dog. Thanks for your time. R: chrisd This quarterback, Blaine Gabbert, at Missouri will have a better future in the NFL then Chase Daniels (is he even in the league). He's bigger, stronger and just knows how to play the system. Still, you'll find out about him tonight in his first road game. Good Luck! Q: T (L.A) Miami Hurricanes, the real deal or overrated? Can they cover this week? R: chrisd I don't think Miami is a great team, but neither is Virginia Tech. People need to realize that the field (everybody but Alabama, Florida, Texas, USC, Oklahoma) are all on the same level. It showed last night when South Carolina beat Ole Miss, who was No. 4. That team blows and Jevan Snead is average. He looked bad against Memphis in Week 1 and last night too. V-Tech should've lost last week to Nebraska and the 10-point loss to Alabama should've been worse. I think Miami can score and VT can't. With that being said, I hope Miami rolls and then they come out as a home favorite against Oklahoma next week. That's when you pound the Sooners and watch their defense put Jacory Harris on his back. Q: JoeK Ft Bragg NC Good evening Chris, I have a 2 team 7 point teaser going tonight. Taking MO -.05 and the Over 54.5, any comments appreciated, and thanks for your time. R: chrisd Hi Joe I'd rather have Nevada +14.5... Good Luck! Q: Landon (Columbus) Hey, just seeing what you think about Buffalo this weekend vs Temple. I am surprised they are dogs. Your opinion?? R: chrisd I watched Temple play against PSU and was quite surprised. They actually have a couple kids on offense that can play. The Owls lost on a hail mary to Buffalo last year and I think we would both agree that the Bulls were better last season. And, Temple has improved. Home team laying 3...I'm not surprised and wouldn't be surprised if the Owls won by double digits either. Q: Sammy in Tampa Hey David, I have been getting killed this year in football and down a few thousand. I am all over Cal at -6 vs the lowly Ducks. I think Cal will win the PAC 10 and dominate both sides of this game. Your thoughts? Thank you. R: chrisd Hi Sammy I think Cal can win here, despite the look-ahead against USC next week. The Ducks QB has looked like garbage and if he doesn't come to play, it's over and over early. Good Luck! Q: Tim Hello Chris. College football question. 3-0 Indiana is catching 21-point vs Michigan? I like the big 'dog here. Also, will Illinois bounce back at Ohio St this week? R: chrisd I'd pass on both games in this spot, but I do like Michigan State and Notre Dame this weekend. Q: I gotta take Titans this week Chris. I can't see them going 0-3 at all. Also, I feel that that Florida Gators are SO overrrated and we should go against them for the rest of the season. later R: chrisd Gators are still a good team. People tend to forget that if Tebow scores a TD rather than a fumble late, they go up 30-6 and probably put another in late and win 37-6. All of a sudden, what could've been a 31-point win and cover turns into a 10-point lucky to beat the Vols. Just when you doubt Florida, it will bite you in the ass, and bite you hard!
