Jim: I like the Panthers catching the points tonight and I'm not against a small taste of the money line, either. However, I'd back Carolina plus the points for a bigger amount. Good luck! Wanted to know if you like the favorite in this spot also? Take care and best of luck! R: briane Don: I'm on the other side. I think Jake Delhomme is over his football version of Steve Blass Disease. He was just not himself (OBVIOUSLY!) in the playoff loss to Arizona and the Week 1 debacle against the Eagles. But I thought he played well last week and if he plays well, this is a solid Panthers team with a pair of excellent RBs and a big-time WR in Steve Smith. And I think Tony Romo is just as likely to get pick-happy tonight. We'll see how it goes but again, I'm on the Panthers plus the points. Q: Luis Hey Brian? Do you think Tony Romo is a great QB? Seems like he really misses Terrell Owens. Small lean on the Under but I am taking the points with Panthers as well. What's your take on this game please? R: briane Luis: No, I don't think Tony Romo is a great QB. He's certainly not in my top-10 of NFL QBs. That list would look like this in terms of who I would want under center for my team this week (assuming McNabb is healthy). 1-Drew Brees (Saints)
Q: ray why is everyone riding the over? panthers wont allow big plays(good defense) and will make dallas work hard for points taking up chunks of time on every drive. Panthers wont be as confident in delhomme as he threw 8? 9? interceptions in the last two games and will look to attack the run game. UNDER is looking juicy if you ask me. Thoughts? The Philly game in Week 1 got away and was high scoring due the turnovers, not necessarily poor play by Carolina's defense. Q: Eric What can be said about tonight's total? No Terrell Owens no TD pass from Tony right Brian? I lean on Under but am clueless on the side. R: briane I don't know that Romo will go TD pass-less tonight. He's hit a bunch against Bucs and Giants, but the costly picks are what bettors (certainly ones that backed Dallas against the G-Men) remember most vividly right now. Q: Randy Brian, is Marion Barber playing tonight? I have no clue who to take in this spot. Dallas is just 1-5 ATS on MNF since 2005 as big FAVORITE so it's hard to back Dallas to cover this game. Thanks again R: briane Bob: Panthers is my play -- I do lean 'under' if you're thinking a parlay for giggles. I wouldn't tease it, though. I'd go several units on Panthers, 1 on 'under' and maybe 1/2 unit on both in a parlay but sink or swim with the underdog. Q: montreal i think the spread is to high 9 dallas R: briane Go Expos! Romo and Dallas play fast paced offense and Carolina seemed to get back on track a little against a Better than Dallas Defense. Other than Romo fadding under bright lights, a close game with no D, 31-24? R: briane Chris: I just think both QBs are a little sketchy to be on the 'over.' I'm on the Braves run line and they have a 2-0 lead. Braves-Cowboys money line is chalk city but I guess it pays you a little better than even-money (if it wins)? It's first MNF at the new $1.15 billion stadium, I just think they will be readỳ and easily beat a Carolina team by 40 points. I also think this game will be low-scoring game. Your take please? Q: Denver Is Barber out for sure? and how do you think that will effect the Dallas Cowboys? R: briane Barber has been made inactive -- done deal. I think it has a slight impact, but Jones is a dynamic playmaker and Choice isn't bad, either. Now if one of those guys were to get hurt tonight, then it could become a big factor. Might also be a factor in picking up blitzes in pass protection. We shall see. Q: South Bend Which bet sounds better parlay dallas and over or double the bet on just the over? R: briane South Bend: Double the bet on Panthers rather than over. Q: john ( sacramento ) While I realize that Dallas hasn't exactly looked great , Carolina has been TERRIBLE- I am surprised that Dallas is only an 8 1/2 point favorite . Your thoughts on tonights match-up ? Thankyou for your time & thoughts R: briane John: I thought Carolina played pretty tough against Falcons in Week 1. Panthers would've covered if Fox would've gone the field-goal route instead of going for it on 4th and 12 with about three minutes or so left last week. I think you throw the Week 1 result out. No team in NFL history could've overcome Delhomme on that day and I think the Eagles are nasty. Q: thomas (lions) How many games will my Lions win do you think? Do you rank NFL teams? Whou would your top 5 be? R: briane Detroit wins at least three games, Rams and Browns at home being the others. And who knows, if they stay healthy, catch some breaks and Stafford develops, Lions might could win five. I'd say six is a reach, though.
