Monday Night Football Chat at 5:30pm EST
Q: Raleigh This one is a no brainer. Right? R: chrisd Good afternoon folks...lots of handicappers with picks on this one tonight. Click here for Winners Let's keep the questions coming and go from there...as far as a no brainer, I don't think it's that easy. Q: Don Coleman The Redskins Offense dreadful inside the 20.... but can Philly win by over a TD on the road? R: chrisd Hi Don The line keeps moving up and after watching the Eagles last week, it's hard to justify laying wood with them on the road. However, Washington has been awful all year long and most gamblers have been burned one time or another with them. The Redskins are 2-4 ATS but make a note that they did cover their only games when they were 'dogs. Q: Jeff (Vegas) I love the Over in this spot tonight. The Over has been money in the bank and until they beat me, why should I quit, right CD? Thanks for your time. R: chrisd Hi Jeff Based on the MNF 'over' trend (6-1) this year, it's hard to argue an 'under' play here on out. Looking at the matchup and past history, the 'under' has cashed to an 8-2-1 mark the last 11. Q: luis hi chris, thanks for taking my question. the books need washington to win because everyone and their mothers are on the favorites. what do you feel about going against the publick tonight? R: chrisd Hi Luis I took two 'dogs yesterday afternoon, Browns and Dolphins. I won't argue for Cleveland but you won't win, yet alone cover many games, when you only put up 3 points on two (not one) first-and-goal chances from the 3 (each time). They suck, as do most OHIO teams. Onto the Dolphins, that was a tough one to stomach and I turned it off at 34-24...ran out for a bite, then almost got sick when I saw 46-34...then the nice c-tease at the end... Sorry for the rant, back to your question...I wouldn't buck a trend because when it rains it pours and right now it's flooding in Vegas and probaly San Jose too... The one combination that hasn't happened on MNF this year is Underdog-Under... Maybe we are due? Q: Josh (Arizona) Hi Chris, Eagles can't lose this game SU right? The reason I am asking is because I am using Eagles on a teaser and all I need is for them to win the game outright. Your take? R: chrisd Anything can happen in the NFL...depending on your teaser, I'd take a shot at Redskins (+15) or (+17)...only because they've been in these games albeit against garbage clubs. The defense is that good. Q: Kevin in Fall River Hey Chris, Both sides are tough to pick as they both look like coin flips. The Bears and Giants got me buried yesterday and need a win tonight. Philly is now -8 and the total is 37.5... You have no idea to which Eagle team will show up or Redskin??? I am leaning towards taking the over 37.5. Your thoughts please? Thank you. R: chrisd There is no doubt that this is the best offense the Skins will face after seven weeks. Washington gave up 23 to the G-Men on the road but 7 came on a bad tackle and another 7 on a defensive score. Birds put up 30-plus in three of their five games. Tough call Kevin. Q: co bao nhieu nguoi bet redskin tonight R: chrisd Yes Q: Chris(Clearwater) With all the media attention on the Redskins in turmoil, Do you think the Redskins have a shot at making this a competitive game? R: chrisd Hi Chris They have been competitive. It's not like they've been getting embarrassed like the Bucs, Rams, Raiders, Chiefs, etc...I know they haven't played anybody legit and Philly is considered a top-tier team but the Skins aren't that bad, they just can't make plays when needed, which is all a reflection on the coach. Q: Mobile I feel that both teams have something to prove offensively tonight. This being said, I am inclined to take the over at 37.5. The bulk of the chatter seems to be pushing the under. Any thoughts? R: chrisd I think the Redskins have something to prove offensively, we already know what the Eagles bring to the table. Tough call, if you can get 37, it might be worth a shot with both teams needing 17 a piece...still tough with Washington's attack. Q: John (Chicago) With the Eagles losing to Oakland last week, and then Oakland getting completely destroyed this week, does that raise any threat that Philly isn't as good as most people think they are? R: chrisd Hi John It's a great point. The Eagles three victories have come against teams with a combined record of 3-17. They were ripped by the Saints with no McNabb, dont think that would've mattered, and the Raiders. Real tough game to handicap, might be a good pass! Q: Chuck (New Jersey) Hi Chris, I think this game tonight is fairly easy to handicap: Washington on ML. Why? Just when everyone begins to throw in the towels teams tend to play well. I've also got the Under as well in this spot. Washington/Over parlay. Thoughts? R: chrisd Hi Chuck Try a Skins/Under parlay... Q: westcoastseashore hello mr. david, like the eagles to destroy the skins tonite after a terrible out against a raider squad that is not very good. input. thnxs and take care R: chrisd West Coast If it was that easy, I wouldn't bother watching...this one is ugly folks. Take this advice...spend some time with your lady or man...do what they want and then get ready for Falcons-Saints next MNF, which I believe Atlanta can win or at least cover the 9... Have a great night and be sure to check out our EXPERT NFL PICKS |
