Q: Don Coleman Will Boise St finally fail to cover? I like them in this spot tonight laying 24 points. I also like to take on Toledo as underdog. Your take please? R: chrisd Hi Don It's hard to bet against Boise State in this spot since it has been a covering machine all year long. The offense puts up serious numbers and the defense is arguably the best in Boise. Possible look-ahead spot for Boise, with Nevada on deck. Tough to lay them on the road but certainly doable with this team. Q: Mac If u had one Nfl game to put your bankroll on this week who would it be- Colts-Steelers-Jags-Vikings -Cardinals- or Bengals-all ATS of course? R: chrisd Steelers...great perception play here, with everybody thinking Pitt is now average after last week's loss to Cincy, who is a good team, not great, but good. Chiefs beat a hapless Raiders team, yet they're not going to win two in a row. There are a lot of heavy favorites in the NFL this week, I only like to lay the wood with a great defense and Pitt has it! Book it MAC and lay your bankroll on the Black and Gold! Final Score: Pittsburgh 33 Kansas City 6 Q: Jason (Little Rock) Chris, would like to get your thoughts on UNC +3.5 at B.C. tomorrow? Also, can Rutgers mount enough of a ground attack at Syracuse to cover the 8.5? Thanks for being here--best of luck this weekend! R: chrisd Considering the ACC has been all about upsets this year, including UNC's win over Miami last week, I would lean towards the underdog. However, BC has been incredible at home, going 6-0 SU and 5-0 ATS. How do you bet against that number? I actually like Syracuse in this spot with the points, because people are still thinking about RU's win over USF last Saturday. Syracuse has been better at home and I believe it will get up in the finale for the seniors. Q: teddyman1972@yahoo.com Yo Chris, how is it going? I like Michigan +12 tomorrow. Ohio St. has dominated this series in recent years as it has won five straight meetings including a 42-7 victory last season. In my opinion this is the worst Ohio St. team since this streak began and there is no way it should be favored by this many points on the road in a major rivalry game. Should I take Michigan on ML as well? R: chrisd Hi Teddy I agree and disagree. Ohio State's defense is great and the offense is inconsistent. If Pryor ever plays a perfect game, they can beat anybody. Big IF... Michigan's defense stinks and unless R-Rod has some tricks up his sleave, I don't see the upset. Could be close, but other games spark my interest. Q: Jeff (Vegas) Any idea why the public is jumping on Bowling Green tonight? I do like Bowling Green's combo of QB Tyler Sheehan and WR Freddie Barnes but I may have to bet against the public. Your take? R: chrisd Akron just can't score, but I'm hesitant to lay the points with a BG team that doesn't have the best defense. Q: Perry Van-city hi Chris,do you think the Packers and Vikings covers this week to keep the nfc north interesting? R: chrisd I think the Packers and Vikings will win this week but covers could be difficult. SF and Seattle do have to travel but I don't like the spots. Q: PBR (Philly) With the Wiz getting their nucleus back do you think theyre in a good spot to cover at a feisty OKC in what can be a rowdy venue? Do you believe in the Hawks or do you see a mediocre West team like Houston bringing them back to reality? Also, I hope AI returns to the league soon. R: chrisd Hi PBR Jamison's return helped spark a Wizards' offense that needed points. Washington still needs a power forward, possibly that kid Zoubek from Duke would fit in. The 'under' in Oklahoma City at home has been good looks over the years. Under in Hawks-Rockets tonight is worth a look too. As far as AI, I think he goes overseas, where he'll play non-stop every night. Q: T (L.A) UFC 106. Tito or Forest? R: chrisd The money has shifted to Griffin but I like Tito, and I'm hoping he gets back on track, just because the UFC needs guys like him to push the product. Q: John (Atlanta) Hi Chris, thanks for being here with us gamblers this afternoon. Would like to get your opinion on Sunday night game between Philly and Chicago. I like Bears plus a FG, is it a spot where they will bounce back? Also like Chicago+Baltimore in my 2-team parlay for sunday. Take care now R: chrisd I don't like putting money on Cutler these days and backing Philadelphia in a back-to-back road spot is tough for anybody to handle. I was a little surprised they're laying on the road, which tells me something. Baltimore can win and the defense has played better but look who they've beaten recently... Indy is due to lose but it does own nice wins on the road against Fins, Titans and Cardinals. I'd wait on fading Indy this week and go with Houston over the Colts in two weeks. Good Luck! Q: Brian (Philly) Will the re-emergence of Elton Brand help Philly cover the handful of points tonight and have locals partying in the parking lots like its 2001? R: chrisd Hi Brian Elton Brand was a horrible signing for him and the 76ers. Was just looking at how good the Clippers were with him and how the 76ers were better without him too. Philadelphia has no identity right now and the only partying in Philadelphia on the hardwood this year will be at Erin Pub for the Villanova 'Cats. Q: Carl Hey CD. Boston lost to Orlando in the playoffs last year, but the Celtics didn't have KG then. I think this time around Celtics will win big. Would you take Boston -6 at home tonight? I also suspect Kings +11 on the road is a good underdog play. Thanks CD R: chrisd Hi Carl I don't like the game to tell you the truth. Boston has dropped a pair at home already this year and you would think the retun of KG, plus the Magic's loss of Nelso would help the club. Dallas is a tough team to read these days and the Kings have trouble scoring on the road. Another pass here. Q: Jersey MARK Thanks for being with us. Any thougts on the G MEN, skins and Jets. I like all 3 in a tease. I really like the GMEN on the money line and also the Jets + points. Ryan's defenses also play the Pats tough AND NOBODY'S giving them a chance, only scary thing is Sanchez. Any thoughts would be appreciated. R: chrisd Hi Mark I like the OVER in the Pats-Jets...I believe things will be different this time around and New England's offense is rolling. I don't see anybody slowing that down. Q: Julie(LA) And your best underdog for Saturday is, mr. David? R: chrisd Miss Julie For you, the Big Dog Blowout is.....drumroll......... KENTUCKY +10 Georgia won't have its playmaker on the outside (Green - WR) and it's expected to rain hard in Athens. Kentucky is better than expected... Go 'Cats Go... Enjoyed it as always, good luck with your bets! |
